The T4 model has three steps for locking:

To lock the T6 model, you need 4 steps to lock the screen and prevent all or partial access to the thermostat.

  1. Tap the middle button labeled ‘Menu’ and locate the ‘Screen Lock’ option by scrolling left or right with the arrow on the screen.
  2. Once you have located ‘Screen Lock,’ select it.
  3. You will then be prompted to choose between fully or partially locking your thermostat.
  4. Select your preferred locking mode, and when you are prompted to confirm, select ‘Yes.’

How to Unlock Honeywell Pro Series T6 Thermostat?

To unlock the T6 model, you need the 4-digit PIN number. If you do not know the PIN number, you will have to go through a few extra steps to unlock your thermostat.

  1. Using the touch screen, find and press the menu option labeled ‘System.’
  2. You will then see four digits on the left side. You need to use the arrows to change those numbers to ‘0670.’ This is your passcode.
  3. On the right side, you will see a single digit, either a one or a zero. This is how you choose whether you want to fully or partially lock your thermostat. If you want it fully locked, use the arrows and make sure the digit is one. If you want it partially locked so that the temperature can still be changed, make sure the digit is zero.
  4. After you have entered the PIN and the locking mode, press ‘Done’ to confirm, and your device should be locked.

To unlock the Honeywell 8000 thermostat, you will follow similar steps to what is done for locking the thermostat.

  1. Instead of pressing ‘System,’ you need to press and hold ‘System’ and ‘Auto’ together to initiate the unlock procedure.
  2. Then you should see a blank space in the middle of the screen at the bottom. Press and hold this blank key until the screen changes.
