Xfinity Remote Codes: A Complete Guide to The Remote Models and Their Pairing Codes

You need Xfinity Remote Codes for all remotes aside from the XR16.

In the following, you’ll discover how to use them to pair each remote type to your AV receiver, TV or soundbar.

The Xfinity XR16 Remote

The XR16 is the newest remote. So, pairing should be as simple as pointing it towards your TV, pressing the voice button, and saying “program remote.” But if you’re out of luck, follow these steps:

  1. First, head to the “Settings” tab.
  2. Next, head to “Remote Settings” then “Voice Remote Pairing.”
  3. Follow the onscreen instructions, and you’re finished!

As you can see, you don’t need to worry about Xfinity Remote Codes with this model.

The XR15 Remote

Unlike the XR16, the XR15 has plenty of buttons alongside the voice control feature, and you will need to use an Xfinity Remote Code.

Here’s how to do it:

  1. Make sure your TV and remote are turned on and working.
  2. Hold down the “Info” and “Xfinity” buttons for several seconds.
  3. Your remote’s red light should switch to green. If so, you can continue to the next stage.
  4. At this stage, you need to input the code that corresponds to your device’s brand. The codes available for this remote model are as follows:
    1. 10178
    2. 11178
    3. 11637
    4. 11756
    5. 11530
    6. 10442
    7. 10017
    8. 11314
    9. 12731
  5. As long as you enter a valid code, the green light appears twice. If it flashes red and green, the code is invalid.
  6. Make sure everything works by pushing the volume and power buttons.

You can also connect your XR15 to a soundbar or AV receiver instead. The process is similar, but the codes are different. Type the one associated with your soundbar or receiver model:

  • 32197
  • 33217
  • 32284
  • 32676

The XR11 Remote

The XR11 is one of Xfinity’s original voice remotes. You can pair it to your TV by using RF pairing or codes. For the latter method, see below:

  1. Turn the TV and remote on.
  2. Press down and keep holding the “Setup” button and the red light will turn green.
  3. Input the code related to your TV. Several of the most common Xfinity Remote Codes for this controller model are:
    1. 10178
    2. 11756
    3. 11178
    4. 11265
    5. 11637
    6. 11993

    12. 11032
  4. If the Xfinity Remote Code is correct, the green light blinks twice. Otherwise, it flashes red and green.
  5. Confirm the remote works by pushing the on/off button.

As with the XR15, you can pair it to a soundbar or AV receiver. The codes are the same, except with one addition to the list — 31953.

The XR5 Remote

With this remote, follow the same setup steps as above, ensuring you enter the correct manufacturer’s code. A few of the common codes for this remote include, 10178, 12731, 12253, 11934, 11530, 11178, 11265, 11454, 12246, and 10017.

The codes to connect it to an AV or soundbar are the same as the XR11 and XR15.

The XR2 Remote

Finally, to pair the XR2 to a TV with Xfinity Remote Codes, you follow the same steps as the XR11.

The significant difference between the XR2 and the XR5 is the codes required to connect it to an audio-video receive. Only these two are applicable to this remote — 31308 and 31518.

The Xfinity Factory Reset Code: For When Pairing Doesn’t Go to Plan

You’re now well-versed in the codes associated with pairing various Xfinity remotes to TVs, soundbars, and AV receivers.

But what if it doesn’t work? After all, technology fails sometimes! Luckily, we have a solution; return the remote to factory settings by following these steps:

  1. Does your remote have a “Setup” button? If so, hold it down it for several seconds. If not, hold the “A” and “D” buttons instead.
